Kuddos to Chief Villaseñor

From the chief's Office:
Chief Villaseñor will be attending the National Peace Officer’s Memorial in Washington D.C. During the dedication ceremony, Officer Erik Hite’s name will be added to the memorial and Chief Villaseñor strongly believes the Chief of Police should be present during this event along with the Hite family and other members of the department who will be in attendance.

Kuddos to Chief Villaseñor.  This is an uplifting event.  He is showing some class and support to his Officer's and especially the Hite family.  I hope, this is the kind of support we can come to expect from the Chief.

The Police Officer's in this city need leadership that supports and defends it's Officers up to and until wrongdoing has been proven or acknowledged by the Officer involved.  This could be a much needed shot in the arm for moral in the department.  Just because our City Council and the City Manager's Office do not support us does not mean we can't have a leader who at least puts up a fight for us when we deserve it.
